A letter from the CEO

This is a difficult time in the United States and I feel it would be inappropriate to not speak up in an official manner. Operation RSF is inherently apolitical but injustices cannot be ignored. The needless loss of life is painful and it can cause deep wounds for generations that need community support across all ethnicities, cultures, and regions if we hope to see healing and change.

The day I left for the Army my father told me that "death is final and it's painful."  We know that injustices have occurred and conversations need to be had, as voices need to be heard. We do not condone violent riots but we hear the voices being raised up by the protests.

I recently came across a poem by a Lutheran Pastor, Martin Niemöller, which was written during the rise of the Nazis in Germany.

"First they came for the Communists

and I did not speak out,

Because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the Socialists

and I did not speak out,

Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists

and I did not speak out,

Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews

and I did not speak out,

Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me

and there was no one left

to speak out for me."

I'd like to say that we have some monumental answers that can mend the wounds of our nation, but we don't. I would like to say that this is all just injustices being portrayed because of _____ statistics and the media sensationalizing everything, but that would just be turning a blind eye to the fact that it is actually happening. We have to speak up.

What I can say, that is an absolute truth, is that Operation RSF is here. We are here to listen, support, and defend anyone who is struggling and in need. Regardless of race, sex, orientation, or ideology—we are dedicated to giving support without restraint in order to better lives. We are here to build community bridges across every divide through communication and acceptance.

If we promote one of our founding principles as building community we cannot stand by while our community is hurting and in pain. We will work to have discussions, open lines of communication, stand up for those who need a voice, and begin the healing process within our nation.

Let's do more than just talk, let's begin truly listening to understand. This is a team effort and we hope you also use this as an opportunity to bring your communities together for a better today and a better tomorrow.
